Kunkeshwar Temple is situated in small, beautiful village Kunakaeshwar in Sindhudurgh district. It is beautiful temple built on the hills and having long white sand beach on one side which attracts many tourists towards it. Vicinity of Temple also have greenery around due to plantation of Mango and coconuts trees.
This famous temple of Shri Dev Kunkeshwara in Kunkeshwar is having Jatra every year on Mahashivratri allowing many devotees to attain it and get the blessing of god. The beach close by adds a charming beauty to the temple with its silvery white sand and crystal blue water of Arabian Sea. On the beach swimming is not prohibited and one can also have pleasurable walk on soft sand.
Kunkeshwar temple is situated on hill and it is made up of ancient architecture by yadhavas in olden days which was worshiped by king of Maratha Shivaji. The temple architecture resembles to the architectures of temples of the south India.
In its vicinity one can also find a Cave known as Kunkeshwar Cave which creates very suspicious environment and consisting of temple of god Shiva with Linga and Nandi and god Ganapati in it.
